New Delhi: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is relentlessly working for the development of Gwalior Chambal region. Recently, after requesting the Chief Minister, Gwalior Industry Conclave was organised and investment of more than Rs 8,000 crore was made in the area.
In another major development, the Union Minister came to the aid of District Minister, BJP Morena Rajendra Shukla after he urged him to help him in boosting the rail facilities in Morena. The Union Minister shot off a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav regarding all the demands and other pending issues. The letter listed out three requets: to set up a station on the new broad gauge railway line in village Semai and Pipalwali of Morena district; to run two new trains from Sabalgarh to Ayodhya and from Sabalgarh to New Delhi via Kailash, Morena, Agra; and to extend MEMU going from Gwalior to Jora till Kailaras.
On Monday, information was received that the demands have been met. The efforts of the Union Minister paid off as the MEMU train going from Gwalior to Jora will now go to Kailaras city of Morena. With the train reaching Kailaras and commuting daily, it has become easier for lakhs of Morena residents to travel seamlessly to Gwalior and other areas.
