New Delhi: Raja Market in Delhi’s Welcome area was shaken by gunfire late on Saturday evening as two groups clashed violently, firing around 50 rounds. The incident took place in the Welcome police station area in North East Delhi.
During the firing, two people, including a young girl, were injured. Upon receiving the information, Delhi Police rushed to the spot and are now investigating the case.
Dispute between two groups
According to reports, the dispute took place between two groups of jeans traders in the Welcome area. The argument quickly escalated, leading both groups to open fire on each other using country-made pistols.

The continuous firing echoed through the market, causing panic among the locals. As the bullets rang out, chaos erupted in the area. People who were present on the road ran for cover, with many taking refuge inside nearby shops.
Two injured in firing
The market was filled with fear and confusion as the situation unfolded. Two persons, including a woman, were struck by bullets during the exchange. Both are currently injured and receiving medical attention.
Delhi Police have detained four people in connection with the case. An investigation is underway.
