New Delhi: Arvind SmartSpaces Limited (ASL) is making significant strides in Gujarat’s infrastructure development with a massive industrial park near Ahmedabad. The project demonstrates ASL’s commitment to both industrial growth in the region.
ASL has announced plans for a substantial 440-acre industrial park strategically located along NH-47, between Bavla and Bagodara in Ahmedabad. This project, structured as a joint development agreement offering a 70.5 per cent revenue share to ASL, is anticipated to generate a substantial Rs 1,350 crore in revenue.
This industrial park is poised to be one of Gujarat’s largest, providing a comprehensive ecosystem for businesses. Its strategic location near the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) and Dholera Special Investment Region is expected to significantly bolster Ahmedabad’s industrial and logistics sectors.
The park will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP), advanced Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, employee accommodations, weighbridges, and designated logistics areas. These features are designed to attract businesses and facilitate seamless operations within the park.
Kamal Singal, Managing Director and CEO of ASL highlighted the significant opportunities in the Ahmedabad industrial park development market, emphasizing ASL’s commitment to leading this sector.
“Given the healthy performance of the Ahmedabad economy, the industrial park development market presents a sustainable and sizeable opportunity, and we remain at the forefront to address it,” Singh said.
In another major development, construction has commenced on the first phase of the Shakti corridor in Ambaji, a significant religious pilgrimage site in North Gujarat. The project, approved by the state government with a budget of Rs 1200 crore, will be implemented in five phases.
Phase 1 focuses on the demolition of government properties to create an underpass walkway, connecting the 51 Shakti Peeth Circle to Gabbar Circle. This walkway aims to significantly reduce travel time to the main temple, cutting the journey down to 20 minutes.
The project’s completion is slated for January 2027. The initial construction will focus on the walkway from Shakti Dwar to Gabbar.
