Ahmedabad: The Gujarat education department has taken action after reports of involvement of government teachers in Rs 6,000 cr BZ Financial scam in Sabarkantha district. The district education department has informed the taluka education officers about the involvement of teachers.
It is alleged that government teachers were acting as agents of the ponzi schemes. As per education officials, legal action will be initiated against the teachers involved in activities of BZ scam. Officials also said that action will be taken if evidence including photos or videos are available.
Bhupendrasinh Zala inloved in scam
The scam is allegedly related to Gujarat BJP worker Bhupendrasinh Zala, who ran BZ Financial involved in ponzi scam.
Earlier, a teacher exchange camp was also held in Bhupendrasinh Zhala’s educational institute. 10 days back, a teachers’ camp was held at Global Campus. Call letters were also sent to two thousand teachers in the name of BZ campus.
Controversy over teacher camp at BZ campus
On the other hand, the controversy also erupted when a government program was organised at the BZ campus. Questions are being raised as to why the education officer was interested in holding the camp at BZ campus and its proximity to DOE office. And why was BZ campus chosen for the programme. The questions were also raised on why when an organization involved in scam was used for a government program.
Eyebrows are also being raised against the officials associated with the education department of the district. Concerns are also being raised at the district education officials for alleged their role in the matter.
