Rohtak: Eyeing to retain power, the BJP on Thursday released its election manifesto for Haryana Assembly elections, promising a slew of measures, including jobs to 2 lakh youth, procurement of all crops 24 at the MSP, financial assistance of Rs 2,100 per month for women under Lado Laxmi Yojana and government jobs to Agniveers. BJP chief JP Nadda unveiled the BJP’s poll manifesto for Haryana polls in presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and senior party leaders.
During the unveiling of the manifesto in Hindi, Nadda said that the Congress made the manifesto a “dilutable document” in the eyes of the people. “Congress ended the relevance of the manifesto. For them this document is just a formality and a means to deceive people,” he added.
BJP’s Haryana poll promises
In its election manifesto, the BJP promised to give 2 lakh government jobs to youth, cooking gas cylinder at Rs 500 under Har Ghar Grihini Yojna, purchase 24 crops at Minimum Support Price. Also five lakh houses will be constructed in urban and rural areas, if the party returns to power. The BJP also pledged it will give Rs 2,100 per month to women under Lado Lakshmi Yojna.
Haryana is set to go to polls in single phase on October 5. The votes will be counted on October 8. The BJP is seeking to form government in the state for the third consecutive terms while the main opposition party in the state Congress is hoping to return to power in the state after a decade.
