‘Give up violence, lay down arms, or else…’: Amit Shah’s stern warning to Naxals

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday warned of an all-out operation against Naxals while appealing to them to shun violence and lay down arms and surrender. Sharing a documentary depicting the pain of the people affected by Naxal attacks, Shah said that Naxalism, the enemy of humanity, has destroyed the lives of these people.

“This documentary made by ‘Bastar Shanti Samiti’ depicting the endless suffering and pain of the people affected by Naxal attacks is a must watch for all. How Naxalism, the enemy of humanity, has destroyed the lives of these people…their suffering also reflects the hypocrisy of those who raise one-sided hue and cry on human rights,” he wrote on X, sharing the documentary.

Amit Shah’s strict warning to Naxals

The Union Home Minister said that Naxals need to give up violence otherwise an all-out operation will be carried out against them. He made the remarks while addressing 55 victims of Naxal violence from Chhattisgarh at his residence. “I appeal to Naxals to give up violence, lay down arms and surrender as the militants in the northeast have done. If you do not listen, then an all-out operation will be carried out soon to end the menace,” Shah said.

Maoists will take their last breath on March 31, 2026, Shah said, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to wiped out Naxal violence and ideology from the country.

He said that the Union Home Ministry will soon come up with a welfare scheme for people affected with Naxal violence in Chhattisgarh. “We will help you in whatever way we can through our welfare measures in jobs, healthcare and other areas,” he said.
