New Delhi: A shocking video of former Union Minister Raosaheb Danve Patil has emerged in which the BJP leader can be seen kicking a worker to keep him away from the camera frame. The worker, who tried to stand closer to the leader to get into the picture frame, has been identified as Sheikh Hamad.
The video has sparked a row ahead of voting for the Maharashtra Assembly election, with many raising hackles over the minister’s ‘arrogant’ behaviour towards a party worker. Danve’s behaviour is receiving public backlash and users on the social media have criticised his arrogance.
On Monday, Danve Patil had gone to meet Arjun Khotkar, the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) candidate for the Jalna assembly seat, in Jalna when a party worker tired to enter the frame. Danve kicked the worker aside to move him out of the frame.
‘Arrogant’ behaviour draws flak
Hitting out at Danve’s behaviour, a X user said, “Arrogant BJP leader Raosaheb Danve kicked a common man when he tried to get into the picture frame. This is the same way BJP kicks common people after coming to power!”
“A video showing BJP’s state election chief, Raosaheb Danve, allegedly kicking a RSS worker showing his place. Many BJP-RSS supporters across state are deeply hurt by this act and have decided that they will show BJP their place on election day,” another user wrote.
Another user said, “BJP leader Raosaheb Danve literally kicks a BJP member. Watch. This Arrogance of BJP and Mahayuti will be decimated in the upcoming election. Vote out BJP.”
