Jind: In a jolt to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of Haryana assembly elections, former state minister Bachchan Singh Arya resigned from the party on Saturday (September 7).
According to reports, Bachchan took this decision as he was upset over not getting a ticket.
Bachchan Singh Arya, upset over rebel JJP MLA Ramkumar Gautam getting a BJP ticket from Safidon, wrote a 4-line resignation letter and announced to quit the primary membership of BJP. The former minister wrote in the letter, “I, Bachchan Singh Arya of Safidon assembly constituency, resign from the primary membership of BJP and the state executive today on 07-09-24.” Bachchan Singh’s resignation before the elections is being considered a big setback for the BJP.
On September 5, former minister Bachchan Singh Arya had written on social media that “set fire to the water, if there is mischief, it should be like this, erase the existence of oppression, if there is rebellion, it should be like this”.
Former minister Bachan Singh Arya wanted to contest from Safidon assembly constituency in Jind.
