Forest fire is a major challenge for the state
There is also a plan to connect the officers, employees, village chief, representative of different NGOs and Panchayat Sarpanch with the Fire Alert System, developed by the Forest Survey of India. This hill state has 71 percent forest cover. It has become a major challenge for the state government to bring the forest fires under control. This year forest fires were reported from almost every district of the state.
