New Delhi: Dhirendra Shastri, the head of Bageshwar Dham and noted ‘Katha Vachak’, on Saturday expressed concerns of some foreign power trying to interfere in the country’s affairs. Speaking on Day 2 of TV9 Networks’’ ‘What India Thinks Today’ Global Summit, he observed that these foreign influencers brainwashed some of our people who might be from any religion, leading to communal tensions.
He noted that the society and the country are not as they should have been. “ Our society and country is not as it should have been. India’s beauty lies in the principle of ‘Vasudedebh kutumbham’. It is not there. India’s beauty lies with ‘Ahimsya’. There is no doubt that society is changing. India is changing. I think foreign powers have brainwashed some of our people. They may be from any religion. It is because of this, that India is witnessing riots. This is very unfortunate.”
‘Culture is decreasing in the society, while atrocities are increasing’
“How I see the society now. I see its decreasing culture, increasing atrocities, laziness situation, and youth unemployment, we see such a society. You and I are responsible for this. The people of this country are responsible. The people of this country are not aware of their rights,” he said when asked whether the society is changing.
Shastri added, “ There was no interference before. It was considered as country of magicians. But now some are trying to loot and destroy India. They are preparing for Gazwa E-Hind. I think foreign powers are more active now as compared to earlier.” When asked whether saints and sages these days are becoming celebrities as they are seen even with rich people and visit their wedding functions he added,” That’s a different subject. Our job is to share our thoughts with the people, and through them share our thoughts with the country.”
Am just a soldier of Sanatan Dharma: Dhirendra Shastri on himself
When asked whether he was a saint or a Katha Vachak, he added, “I am a soldier of the Sanatan Dharma. I am working for Sanatan Dharma. I only take the name of Lord Hanuman, He only has the’Siddhi’. Not me.”
