New Delhi: Mumbai’s fire services battled a major blaze on Monday evening at a scrap godown located in the Mandala scrapyard area of Mankhurd. The incident happened just days after another major fire in the city’s Worli area.
According to initial reports, the fire erupted at the scrap godown, prompting a swift and substantial response from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB). Eight fire tenders and eight water tankers were immediately dispatched to the scene to combat the rapidly spreading flames. While the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, the presence of highly flammable scrap materials likely contributed to its rapid spread.
