Hyderabad: A woman suffered minor injuries after a fire that broke out at a cracker shop in Hyderabad’s Abids on Sunday night, the police said. The incident occurred while firecrackers were being stored in the shop, as stated by a senior police official during a preliminary investigation, PTI reported.
Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and the fire has since been contained, the official added. The injured woman sustained minor injuries to her hand and has been taken to the hospital for treatment, police confirmed.
Television footage captured flames shooting from the shop, with firecrackers exploding as shoppers hurriedly evacuated the premises. Authorities are conducting a further investigation into the incident.
