Ganderbal: A fire broke out at a hotel in Sonamarg market in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday evening. The reason behind the incident is not yet known. Five fire tenders have reached the spot to dose off the fire, officials said.
As per them, the incident took place in the Sonamarg market area of the district. There is no immediate information on loss of life or exact details of loss of property. After taking into account the details of the incident, the officials will also try to find out the reason for what caused the fire.
A massive fire broke out in Greater Noida last month
In a separate incident last month, a massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Greater Noida. A total of 32 fire tenders had reached the spot after receiving information. The fire incident took place near Dujana Road, officials said
As efforts were made to shut off the fire, the police also brought out 25 cows from the shelter inside the premises. For this, they had to break the wall with the help of JCB. While 12 fire tenders were sent immediately after receiving the information regarding the incident, 20 more were sent after some time.
Sharing more details of the incident, officials said that blasts were heard from inside the factory because of the fire. Efforts were also made to prevent the fire from spreading further and reaching nearby areas. The authorities also deployed a number of police personnel to prevent any kind of untoward incident due to the incident.
A similar incident in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul
In December last year, at least seven people were dead and 20 others were injured after a fire broke out at a hospital in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul. Among those who lost their lives included one child and two women. As per officials, the fire incident took place because of an electrical short circuit. Several fire tenders were brought in to dose off the fire.
