Shah Rukh Khan’s Fauji will re-air on the DD National channel from October 24 onwards. The 13 episodes will air every Monday to Thursday. Doordarshan’s Director General, Kanchan Prasad, said in a statement that Shah Rukh Khan’s Fauji is a “timeless classic that continues to resonate with audiences”. Fauji storyline
Fauji is directed by Raj Kumar Kapoor. It narrates the story of a new set of recruits at an Indian Army commando regiment, who begin their training to become commandos in the Indian Army. The 13-episode series shows the daily struggles of the new recruits including physical training, punishments, and pranks that they play on each other. The show marked Shah Rukh Khan’s debut in television. In the show, he plays the role of Lt. Abhimanyu Rai.
Fauji cast
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the show also features Rakesh Sharma as Major Vikram Rai, Manjula Avtar essays the role of Captain Madhu Rathore, and Amina Shervani as Kiran Kochar. The 13-episode series also features Sanjay Taneja, Jayshree Arora, Vishwajeet Pradhan, and Vikram Chopra, among others.
