New Delhi: Sending shockwaves across the Indian showbiz industry, Vineet Kumar recently breathed his last following a heart attack. He was a renowned fashion publicist who held a special place in the hearts of colleagues of the fashion world for his extensive work with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). Vineet was 37 years old at the time of his sudden demise.
Residing in Noida, Vineet became a familiar face at numerous fashion events organised in the National Capital Region over the past several years. As soon as news of his passing surfaced online, netizens expressed their grief on social media by posting heartfelt messages of condolence.
In one such Instagram post, Viral Bhayani called Vineet a dedicated PRO (Public Relations Officer) who worked tirelessly to generate media coverage for his fashion shows. The noted Bollywood paparazzo added that Vineet was the brain and the backbone of nearly every major fashion show the industry has witnessed. “He also built a bridge between designers and media,” Viral wrote.
Sunil Sethi mourns Vineet Kumar’s death
FDCI chairperson Sunil Sethi confirmed the news of Vineet’s death to news agency PTI. Sunil revealed that Vineet had discovered an underlying heart condition and he sadly passed away during surgery on Tuesday (October 29, 2024).
Sunil further said that Vineet was too young to be taken away and called his passing a personal loss for himself. Labelling him an integral part of the FDCI family, Sunil noted that people who are honest, friendly and excel at what they do are rare. Vineet was an alumnus of Ramjas College, Delhi University. He is survived by his wife.
