New Delhi: A factory worker in Delhi’s Bawana area lost his life after an alleged altercation over two rotis with a co-worker, police said on Thursday. The victim, identified as Ram Parkash, was decorating the factory for Diwali on October 29 when the incident occurred.
While working on the fourth floor, Ram Parkash was approached by another worker, Aslam, who was on the roof of a neighbouring factory. Aslam asked Ram Parkash for two rotis, but he refused, saying that Aslam should buy them himself. The refusal escalated into an argument, during which Aslam reportedly pushed Ram Parkash, resulting in him falling from the fourth floor.
Ram Parkash was quickly taken to MV Hospital Pooth Khurd by fellow workers but was declared dead upon arrival. Following eyewitness accounts, a case has been filed against Asla, who has since been arrested by the police.
