New Delhi: Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sunil Ambekar spoke of the importance of Yoga and Hindutva at a cultural event held at the Prabhu Premi Sangh camp of Maha Kumbh Mela2025.
Ambekar said that even developed countries recognise the value of Yoga, which was developed by Indian Gurus and saints thousands of years ago. “In modern times, even most of the developed countries need Yog – which was developed by our Gurus and Sainst, thousands of years back, ” he said.

He added that when he is asked about the concept of Hindutva, he says that the term “tatva” in Hindutva refers to “ekatva,” or oneness. This concept is rooted in Hindu philosophy, which emphasises the unity and interconnectedness of all things. “People ask me what is Hindutva, I tell them that the ‘tatva’ in Hindutva is ‘ekatva’..”
Call to protect Bangladeshi Hindus
In December last year, Ambekar urged the Centre to take stronger steps to stop violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. Speaking at an event in Nagpur, he said talks should be tried first, but if they fail, other solutions must be found. Ambekar condemned attacks on Hindus, including temple burnings, looting and violence against women.
He compared the situation to the Mughal rule. He criticised Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, saying he has failed to bring peace in Bangladesh. Ambekar also spoke of the need to expose global powers fuelling unrest and stressed that Hindus must act to protect their community, both in India and abroad.
