Ahmedabad: India’s biggest news network, TV9 Network organised ‘What Gujarat Thinks Today Conclave 2025’ in Ahmedabad on Saturday. The event was attended by a number of dignitaries including Bhupendra Patel .
Addressing the summit, TV9 MD and CEO Barun Das praised the Gujarat model and said that entrepreneurship is in the DNA of the Gujarati people. Pointing out that Gujarat is on the path of realising its goal to become a trillion-dollar economy by 2030, Barun Das expressed confidence that millions of viewers watching the TV9 network channels will be very eager to hear what Gujarat is thinking today.
“This is the first WGTT Summit of TV9. More than a century ago, Gopal Krishna Gokhale had said that what Bengal thinks today, India will think tomorrow. However, in the last two decades, Gujarat has shown that what you think, you are and what you do, you become,” he said.
Praising the people of the state further, Barun Das added, “Gujarat has shown what kind of state it wants to be. The state has chosen to be progressive and prosperous. The Gujarat model is something that shows that if the people of a state are hardworking and want to move forward, they just need a visionary leader who can inspire their energy, enthusiasm, and excellence for continuous development.”
“PM Modi is the architect of the Gujarat model. I believe entrepreneurship is in the DNA of Gujarat. It is no surprise that although Gujarat represents only 5 percent of India’s population, it contributes about 31 percent to India’s exports and more than 8 percent to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP).” he further said.
A lot of changes have taken place in Gujarat: CM Bhupendra Patel
Addressing the summit Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that many changes have taken place in Gujarat in recent times. “Everyone knows the condition of roads and other basic infrastructure before, but there has been development. Earlier, there were 1500 seats for doctors, now we get 7000 doctors every year. Apart from this, efforts are on to provide 24-hour electricity supply When you see India developed, you will know that the first state to develop will be Gujarat,” he added.
Sports are equally important just like education: Mansukh Mandaviya
Speaking at the event, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya spoke on several areas including sports and education. He observed that just like education, sports are equally important for the development of children. Mandaviya said that sports opportunities are increasing in our country. “With India having the largest number of youth, sports culture is developing in the country. The attitude of people towards sports in the country has changed. Earlier, where parents used to motivate their children only for studies, now parents are also encouraging their children to participate in sports along with studies,” he noted.
Mandaviya, further added, “Now jobs are also being given in sports. While focussing on sports people are also getting jobs. While India is on the path of becoming a developed nation, PM Modi has also set a vision for sports. He has made a roadmap for 2047.”
