New Delhi: Eight Naxalites were killed on Saturday in an encounter with security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, police said. The exchange of fire is currently ongoing.
The encounter broke out after the security forces were fired upon by the Naxals during a search operation in a forest area in the Gangalooor village of the district, they said.
