New Delhi: Educationist Awadh Pratap Ojha, a native of Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, has joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday in New Delhi. He joined the party in the presence of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal. Awadh Ojha popularly known as ‘Ojha Sir’ teaches UPSC aspirants. Some media reports suggest that Awadh Ojha may contest upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
Who is Awadh Pratap Ojha?
Awadh Ojha is a renowned educationist who is widely known in the UPSC aspirants’ circle as ‘Ojha Sir’. Ojha specialises in teaching history to UPSC aspirants. He runs his own coaching institute.
Awadh Ojha was born in in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on July 3, 1984. The educationist’s father Mata Prasad Ojha retired as postmaster in Gonda. His mother is a lawyer, said a report in One India.
Some reports suggest that Ojha’s father sold five acres of his agricultural land to fund his wife’s education which enabled her to become a lawyer.
Ojha completed his early education from Gonda and graduated from Fatima Inter College in the district. He aspired to become civil servant and prepared for the UPSC examination. However, he could not qualify the mains examination and his dreams remained unfulfilled.
Success continued to elude him even after he came to Delhi to prepare for civil services exam. His parents even sold some of their land for Ojha’s further studies, but his fate had other plans for him.
