New Delhi: Tension erupted at veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu’s residence in Jalpally in Hyderabad, as a dramatic confrontation unfolded between his son, Manchu Manoj, and the actor’s security personnel. The incident, which occurred after Manoj met with Telangana’s ADGP, saw him and his wife Mounika forcibly entering the residence after being prevented by the security staff.
Manchu Manoj, visibly upset, expressed his concern for his daughter, who was at home, as the gates were blocked by security. After a brief wait in the car, Manoj and his wife broke down the gates, forcing their way inside, creating a tense atmosphere. The couple’s entry was met with resistance from the security personnel, leading to a clash between the police and the security guards who blocked their entry.
Growing tensions within the Manchu family
The situation quickly escalated, with Manoj requesting the security staff to open the gates, citing his concern for his daughter’s safety. As the drama unfolded, around 70 bouncers were reportedly deployed around the house. Amidst the chaos, the media was also subjected to Mohan Babu’s reportedly rude behavior, with accusations of him being intolerant towards the press and even throwing microphones at journalists seeking details.
The altercation has further intensified the growing tensions within the Manchu family. Mohan Babu, 78, has filed a police complaint against his son, accusing him and his wife of plotting to seize his property in Jalpally through intimidation and force. The veteran actor has also requested police protection, fearing for his safety amidst the ongoing dispute.
In response, Manchu Manoj filed a separate complaint, alleging that 10 unidentified individuals had entered his residence on December 8 and attempted to flee when confronted. Manoj, who claimed to have sustained injuries during the scuffle, has urged the police to ensure the safety of his family and launch a full investigation to identify the culprits.
