New Delhi: In a shocking incident that has come to light from Bhavnagar’s Sihor in Gujarat, the family members of a patient assaulted a doctor in the hospital when he asked them to put off their slippers before they entered the emergency room.
The family members of the patient had come to the hospital for a woman’s treatment who had sustained a head injury. Three persons have been arrested by the police following the incident.
The incident was captured in the CCTV installed in the emergency room. In the CCTV footage, a group of men can be seen standing near the woman lying on the bed. Just then, the doctor – Jaideepsinh Gohil – comes into the room and asks the men standing there to remove their slippers.

There’s a heated exchange of words, after which the men beat him up. They thrash him until the patient and the nursing staff in the room step in and try to disperse them. The medicines and other hospital equipment kept in the room get scattered in the commotion.
According to reports, the accused, Bhavdeep Dangar, Hiren Dangar, and Kaushik Kuvadiya have been arrested under sections 115 (2), 352, 351 (3) (criminal intimidation ), and other provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
