On October 31, when Diwali will be celebrated all over the country, the Indian stock market will remain open. Meanwhile, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have announced that there will be a special trading session of one hour which is known as ‘Muhurat Trading’ and it will take place on November 1. It will mark the beginning of the new Samvat 2081.

The Muhurat Trading session will take place between 6 pm and 7 pm. However, it must be kept in mind that on Diwali, the regular trading session will remain closed and the Muhurat Trading of one hour will be there in the evening.
Also, the session of Muhurat Trading will pre-open from 5.45 pm to 6.00 pm. The Muhurat Trading session is hailed to be very auspicious as it marks the beginning of a new Samvat, which is the Hindu calendar year that marks the start of Diwali.
