Mumbai: Zeeshan Siddique, the son of MLA Baba Siddique, who was recently assassinated in Mumbai, attended the third session of the TV9 Satta Sammelan on Monday. Speaking at the program titled, ‘Faisle ki Ghadi’, the Vandre East MLA, who recently switched to NCP (Ajit Pawar) from Congress, said that the alliance between the Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) is completely unnatural.
Speaking at the ‘Faisle ke Ghadi’ session of the TV9 Satta Sammelan in Mumbai on Monday, Siddique said, “ Last time when I was part of Congress, the party joined hands with Shiv Sena (UBT), which was unnatural. I had protested at the time. Even though I did not leave the party, and was part of the MVA, the then Government run by Shiv Sena harassed me a lot. I was not allotted funds. It was tough for me when people started asking me why I could not work for them even as I was part of the ruling alliance. Many said the chief minister wanted to contest from my constituency”.
‘NCP (Ajit Pawar) secular in nature’
When asked about shifting from Congress to NCP (Ajit Pawar), which has joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Siddique said that the stand of Ajit Pawar’s party is very clear that it is ‘Secular’ in nature because of which I joined. “We all, be it Ajit Pawar, Chagan Bhujbal, who are all together as part of the NCP, were one part of the Congress. It is because of one reason or the other that we left the Congress. The mindset of NCP (Ajit Pawar) continues to remain secular even as it has joined hands with the BJP.”
Never received any threat from Lawrence Bishnoi: Zeeshan Siddique
When asked whether any threat was received from Lawrence Bishnoi or his gang in the past, the MLA said while he heard of him earlier too, he never heard of any threat for his father or himself from the gangster.
