Mumbai: To put a check on the deteriorating air quality of Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued guidelines regarding bursting firecracker on the occasion of Diwali. The civic body said that bursting firecrackers will not be allowed after 10 pm in the city. The BMC also urged the city residents to burst less firecrackers.
The BMC advised Mumbaikars to burst firecrackers only in open areas and not in the streets or crowded places.
