New Delhi: Amid threats looming over Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, fans are concerned about his well-being. Reports suggest that the 58-year-old actor has beefed up his security, including more surveillance and a new bulletproof car. However, his feud with Lawrence Bishnoi seems far from over after the blackbuck case. But did you know that the Bhaijaan of the silver screen once offered money to the Bishnoi community to settle the matter?
According to a ndtv.com report, the notorious gangster’s cousin Ramesh Bishnoi revealed that Salman presented a cheque book to the community. He asked them to fill in any amount. However, the community refused the offer as they were seeking an apology instead.
Galaxy Apartment firing incident
On the morning of April 14, 2024, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal opened fire near Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra West. A Mumbai court recently denied bail to an accused in the case, observing that the shooter acted with the ‘intention or knowledge’ of killing Salman allegedly at the instigation of Lawrence’s brother Anmol.
In the court order, Judge BD Shelke stated that the FIR indicates two individuals arrived on a motorcycle. And, it was the pillion rider who fired shots at the first floor of Salman’s house. It is to be noted that Lawrence has been named a wanted accused in the police chargesheet.
For the uninitiated, Vicky, Sagar, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohd Rafiq Choudhary and Harpal Singh are currently in judicial custody for the high-profile case. On the other hand, Anujkumar Thapan died by suicide in police custody.
