New Delhi: A grand ‘Dharma Sansad’ (religious congregation) will be held at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Monday. It will be organised by the renowned katha vachak (spiritual orator) Devkinandan Thakur. The event will take place at Devkinandan Thakur’s tent, located in Sector 17, at 12pm.
The religious congregation will focus on two major issues: the Sanatan Board and the Krishna Janmabhoomi. Representatives from all 13 akhadas, the four Shankaracharyas, noted katha vachaks, prominent saints and sadhus from across the country, and Mahamandaleshwar have been invited to attend the event. They will all grace the key function, which is expected to continue until around 4pm.
Dharma Sansad aims to unite all Sanatanis
The purpose of this ‘Dharma Sansad’ is reportedly to unite all the Sanatanis. Speaking to reporters recently, Devkinandan Thakur said that “no one can separate us Sanatanis. We were united and will remain so. We have taken an oath of unity and we have taken this oath for the benefit of all Sanatanis. All of us are now understanding its importance. Now we will not leave without giving it a concrete form.” He pointed out that the entire outline regarding Sanatan Board has been decided, which will be implemented soon.
Devkinandan Thakur has met more than a dozen people, including Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashananda of Niranjani Akhara, Swami Govind Giri, Sadhvi Ritambhara and Swami Gyananand, and has invited them all to shower their blessings in the Dharma Sansad.
Earlier, Devkinandan Thakur had in a post on social media X said that Sanatan’s conch will be blown on the banks of Sangam, the voice of Hindus will be raised in the Dharma Sansad. A few days back, he had also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the large-scale arrangements made for the Maha Kumbh Mela.
