New Delhi: A tragic incident took place early this morning in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area, where a young man was fatally stabbed while resisting a mobile phone snatching attempt.
According to the police, they received information about a stabbing and attempted robbery near Naiwala Chowk, under the jurisdiction of Karol Bagh Police Station.
What investigation revealed
During the investigation, it was revealed that the caller, Rinki @ Ashi Solanki, had gone to Kiwi Restaurant for dinner with his friend Mukesh. After finishing their meal, they were walking back home when they reached the Sat Brahwa School area.
At this point, three young boys standing nearby tried to snatch their mobile phone. Mukesh resisted, leading to a struggle in which one of the boys stabbed him with a knife. The group then fled with the stolen phone.

Mukesh Jha, a resident of Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, was immediately rushed to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Sadly, doctors declared him brought dead upon arrival.
Based on the statement of Rinki @ Ashi Solanki, the police registered a case under sections 103(1)/309(6)/3(5) of the BNS at Karol Bagh Police Station, and the investigation to catch the culprits is currently underway.
