New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched a direct attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, saying people of the national capital won’t let AAP’s “jhoot (lies) and loot rule” anymore and that his BJP will come to power after the February 5 assembly elections.
Addressing an election rally in northeast Delhi Kartar Nagar, PM Modi began his speech by paying obeisance to the victims of the Maha Kumbh stampede and hoped for a speedy recovery to those injured, calling the incident tragic.
He then took jibes at the previous Congress and the current governments, saying these parties destroyed Delhi in the last 25 years. PM Modi also raked up the BJP’s ‘AAPda (disaster) government’ rhetoric against Kejriwal’s party.
“This scene reflects the mood of Delhi. This shows the mandate of Delhi. Delhi is saying, now we will not work on the excuses of AAPda. Delhi is saying – now AAP’s fake promises will not work. Delhi is saying – now AAP’s jhoot and loot will not be tolerated,” he said.
अब दिल्ली में एक ही आवाज गूंज रही है – AAP-दा नहीं सहेंगे… बदल के रहेंगे!

“Delhi has seen the damages caused by the Congress and AAP governments, now give a chance to the BJP. Allow me to serve you now. I will take care of Delhi like my family, your dreams will be my dreams. I will spend my time, mind and strength for you,” he said.
Assembly elections in Delhi on all 70 seats will held on February 5 and the counting of votes polled will be taken up on February 8.
