New Delhi: Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) in Delhi will be given financial aid assistance to deploy private security guards for people’s safety if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) comes to power in the Delhi elections, Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday in another poll promise as he took digs at the BJP for turning the city into a “crime capital”.
“The BJP government at the Centre and Home Minister Amit Shah have turned Delhi into a crime capital. So many incidents are happening and people are feeling very unsafe
Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday attacked the BJP, claiming that they hate “the people of Delhi” and that Home Minister Amit Shah has turned the city into a “crime capital”… if the AAP comes to power, all RWAs in Delhi will be given a sufficient amount to deploy private security guards in their areas to ensure people’s areas,” Kejriwal said.
He added that the intent is not to replace or seek a substitute for police but to ensure basic safety for people.
