New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday, January 12, released its third candidate list for the Delhi Assembly elections in 2025. The list included just one candidate named Mohan Singh Bisht. He will contest from the Mustafabad seat. Earlier, Bisht had expressed dissatisfaction with the BJP for not granting him a ticket from his traditional stronghold Karawal Nagar and instead choosing Kapil Mishra, a former AAP leader.
According to a senior BJP leader, Bisht was reassured after a meeting with BJP President JP Nadda. Earlier, Bisht had criticised the party’s decision to replace him with Mishra, calling it “incorrect” and warning that it would affect the BJP’s performance in the upcoming polls.

He predicted the BJP would lose 8-10 seats, including Karawal Nagar, Burari, Mustafabad and Gokalpuri, as a result of the decision. Bisht, who has served as an MLA for five terms, had represented Karawal Nagar in the Delhi Assembly. In the 2025 election, he will run from the Mustafabad seat instead.
