New Delhi: The results for Delhi will be released on February 8, but the exit poll figures manage to catch a glimpse of which party is leading in the race. Various agencies have released their projections after voting concluded for all 70 assembly seats on Wednesday.
The exit polls predicted a strong challenge for AAP, with BJP projected to capture between 35 and 60 seats across multiple polls, while AAP is expected to win between 10 and 37 seats. Congress continues to show weak performance, with projections suggesting the party will secure only 0 to 2 seats.

Matrize exit poll shows BJP leading with 35 to 40 seats, while AAP is predicted to win 32 to 37 seats. Congress is expected to secure a mere 0-1 seat. JVC’s prediction paints a similar picture, with BJP set to win 39 to 45 seats and AAP trailing behind with 22 to 31 seats. Congress is predicted to get 0-2 seats.
Peoples Pulse exit poll predicts BJP’s dominance with 51 to 60 seats, while AAP’s share falls sharply to 10 to 19 seats. Congress, as in other polls, is predicted to secure no seats at all. Chanakya Strategies and People’s Insights also show a clear lead for BJP, projecting 39 to 44 seats for the party, while AAP is predicted to win 25 to 28 seats. Congress is likely to receive minimal 2-3 seats.
In the DV Research exit poll, BJP is expected to win 36 to 44 seats, while AAP is set to secure 26 to 34 seats. Similarly, P Marq predicts BJP securing 39 to 49 seats and AAP winning 21 to 31 seats, with Congress projected for only 0-1 seats.

Voter turnout of over 57.7%
A voter turnout of 57.7% was recorded till 5 pm in Delhi assembly polls. Northeast Delhi saw the highest turnout at 63.83%, while New Delhi district recorded the lowest at 54.37%. The turnout in constituencies like Mustafabad reached 66.68%, while Karol Bagh had the lowest at 47.40%.
Polling took place at 13,766 stations across Delhi’s 70 constituencies, where 699 candidates are contesting. In comparison to the 62.59% turnout in the 2020 elections, the 2025 turnout is slightly lower. Early voters included President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Delhi CM Atishi and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

With a total of 699 candidates contesting across 70 seats, the election saw a close fight in multiple constituencies. While AAP has campaigned aggressively to retain power, BJP has pushed hard to make a comeback, and Congress hopes to regain lost ground.
AAP is contesting all 70 seats, while BJP has fielded candidates in 68 constituencies, leaving 2 seats for its allies (LJP in Deoli and JDU in Burari). Congress has also contested all 70 seats.
Delhi has a total of 1.56 crore voters, including 83.76 lakh men, 72.36 lakh women, and 1,267 third-gender voters. The final results will be declared on February 8, confirming whether AAP retains Delhi or if BJP manages to stage an upset.
