New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a man scaled a high-tension voltage electric pole and demanded an audience with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. The incident was reported from Delhi’s Yamuna Khadar area on Wednesday, as per news agency ANI.
Police said that they received information at Geeta Colony Police Station around 10.30am, after which a team swung into action and reached the site immediately. He was brought down safely by the cops and personnel from the Delhi Fire Service, the ANI added.

Delhi Fire Service ADO Yashwant Singh Meena said that the man insisted on speaking with the prime minister, chief minister and the chief justice.
“At 10.30 am, we received a call about a man who had climbed a high-tension wire pillar. He was demanding to speak with the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, and the Chief Justice regarding environmental conservation,” Meena told the news agency. He added that it was not clear where the man was from. The man, who claimed that he worked as a teacher, was either from Bengal or Bihar.
Similar bizarre incident
In June this year, a high drama unfolded when a man climbed an overhead water tank in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi and made made bizarre demands. He refused to come down for more than 12 hours. After two locals tried to bring him down, he pushed them off. They sustained injuries and were hospitalised. While atop the tank, the man asked for chicken, liquor and money. Even though he was offered these, he didn’t come down. Two local residents were asked to bring him down, but he pushed them down. After this, the police brought him down.
