New Delhi: The swearing in ceremony of the BJP’s Delhi chief is scheduled on February 20. The BJP stormed to power in Delhi after a gap of 27 years. BJP trounced AAP in an unexpected win on February 8. With the oath taking date decided, thousands of guests have been invited for the mega swearing in ceremony. Only the name of the CM candidate is yet to be decided.
The grand swearing-in ceremony will be held at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. The event is expected to be marked as a show of strength for the NDA. All Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of several BJP and NDA ruled states are among the invitees for the mega swearing-in ceremony. Senior leaders of NDA are also expected to be in the guest list.
Diplomats, celebrities among invitees
According to reports, Saints, diplomats from major countries and film celebrities will be present at oath taking ceremony. Industrialists including Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani will also be invited to the event.
Religious leaders including Baba Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar, Baba Ramdev, and Swami Chidanand are also among the invitees. The process of sending invitations will begin from Tuesday. All routes leading to Ramlila Maidan will be closed from the night of February 19.
PM Modi, Amit Shah, Adityanath to attend
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and over 50 high profile leaders will attend the event.
Reports said that only VVIP vehicles will be allowed entry to the swearing in venue.
All Union Ministers and NDA leaders will be invited. Before the swearing-in ceremony, a musical performance will be organised on the stage at the Ramlila Maidan.
Singer Kailash Kher’s performance
Singer Kailash Kher is expected to perform at the event. BJP leaders, workers from other states, who were involved in the Delhi Assembly elections have also been invited. Some sportspersons are also expected at the event.
Union Ministers who were deployed during Delhi elections will also attend the oath taking. Farmers from Delhi, and beneficiaries will also be invited to the ceremony. Around 30,000 guests are expected to attend the Delhi CM’s oath taking ceremony.
