Recent building collapses in Delhi
Earlier this month, on August 2 3 people died, while 4 were injured after a portion of a 2-storey building collapsed in Jahangirpuri area of the national capital. In this case the front portion of the building, housing three separate factories in its basement and on the ground and first floors had collapsed.
At the time, the reason for the collapse was said to be water seepage into the building. This was also an old building. Those trapped were labourers working to repair the roof of the building.
