New Delhi: French aviation firm Dassault Aviation has decided to set up a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in state of Uttar Pradesh to support Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jets like Rafale, Jagaur.
Sources told TV9 Network that Dassault Aviation recently informed India’s defence ministry and IAF about setting up of a new company to maintenance the French-origin IAF jets.
The company is likely to be named as Dassault Aviation Maintenance Repair and Overhaul India. The company will provide maintenance support, repair, and overhaul facilities fighter jets in India.
According to defence sources, the French firm informed the Defense Ministry that it is setting up the new company in accordance with India’s vision of self-reliance. The facility will be located in one of industrial areas in Noida city of Uttar Pradesh adjacent to the National capital Delhi.
