Dabur to invest Rs 400 crore to set fecility in Tamil Nadu; Here’s the details

Chennai: A day after the Investors Conclave, India’s FMCG giant Dabur signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government to establish its first manufacturing facility in South India. The world-class facility, to be set up with an investment of Rs 400 crore in SIPCOT’s Food Park in Tindivanam, will create over 250 jobs. Industries Minister TRB Rajaa highlighted that this investment not only strengthens Tamil Nadu’s appeal as an industrial hub but also opens new opportunities for Delta region farmers to supply agro-produce for processing at the facility.

Dabur’s first such unit in South India

An MoU was exchanged between Dabur India and Guidance to establish their first manufacturing factory in South India. This world-class cutting-edge facility will be established at the SIPCOT Food Park in Tindivanam, Villupuram district which will be Dabur’s first such unit in South India. The MoU outlines an approved Phase 1 investment of Rs 135 crore, scaling up to Rs 400 crore over a period of 5 years. This is expected to generate direct employment for around 250 people, besides creating thousands of indirect job opportunities.
