Hyderabad: As Cyclone Dana approaches landfall in Odisha on Thursday night, the East Coast Railway (ECR) has announced the cancellation of 18 trains across the region to ensure passenger safety. Among the affected routes, six trains were scheduled to connect major cities, including Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Additionally, in light of the cyclone, the South Central Railway (SCR) has set up additional helplines at key railway stations to assist passengers with information regarding train cancellations and diversions. Passengers can reach out to the following helpline numbers:

List of cancelled trains:
- Howrah-Secunderabad (Train No. 12703): Departing from Howrah on October 24 at 8:35 AM, this train was expected to arrive in Secunderabad at 10:35 AM the following day.
- Shalimar-Hyderabad (Train No. 18045): Planned to leave Shalimar on October 24 at 11:25 AM, this service would have reached Hyderabad at 5:15 PM the next day.
- Hyderabad-Shalimar (Train No. 18046): Set to depart from Hyderabad on October 24 at 9:50 AM, arriving in Shalimar at 4:05 PM the following day.
- Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad (Train No. 17015): Scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar on October 25 at 7:10 AM, with an expected arrival in Secunderabad at 9 AM the next day.
- Secunderabad-Silchar (Train No. 12513): This train has been cancelled due to a lack of available rakes. It was originally supposed to depart from Secunderabad on October 26 at 4:35 PM, arriving in Silchar at 4:30 AM on the third day.
- Malda Town-Secunderabad (Train No. 03430): This service was planned to leave Malda Town on October 29 at 6:10 PM, with an expected arrival in Secunderabad at 4 AM on the third day.
Moreover, the ECR has informed that slip coaches between Kacheguda and Yelahanka for train No. 17603 (Kacheguda to Vasco de Gama) will not operate on October 25, and the return service, train No. 17604 from Yelahanka to Kacheguda, has been cancelled for October 27. Passengers are advised to stay updated on the situation and plan their travel accordingly as authorities work to ensure safety amid the cyclone’s impact.
