New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 on December 14. The CTET 2024 December session admit card will be made available on the official website a few days before the exam. Candidates were able to fill out the CTET application form 2024 between September 17 to October 16. The form correction window was open from October 21 to October 25, 2024.
CTET is a national-level exam conducted by CBSE to shortlist candidates for the appointment of teachers in central government schools. The exam comprises two papers. Paper 1 is for candidates who want to apply for teaching posts in Class 1 to Class 5 and paper 2 is for those who want to teach in Class 6 to Class 8. Those who want to apply to teach in Class 1 to Class 8 need to appear in both papers.
CTET admit card
The CTET admit card 2024 will be released soon at ctet.nic.in. Candidates will be able to download the CTET admit card 2024 using their login credentials. Before the release of the admit card, the board will issue the CTET city intimation slip 2024. Candidates need to read and follow the instructions mentioned in the admit card on the exam day.
CTET exam pattern
The CTET exam will be held for a duration of two hours and 30 minutes for each paper. CTET paper 1 will have questions from language 1, language 2, mathematics, environmental studies and child development and pedagogy subjects. The paper 2 will have questions from language 1, language 2, child development and pedagogy, mathematics and science or social studies or social science. There will be only multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the exam. As per the CTET marking scheme, for every correct answer, one mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking.
