New Delhi: AAP national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday accused Congress of indirectly helping BJP in Delhi assembly elections. Addressing Congress supporters, Kejriwal claimed that Congress leaders are working against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) instead of opposing BJP.
In a video on X, Kejriwal shared an interaction he had with a group of people who identified themselves as Congress supporters. He said, “Recently, a few people came to meet me. I asked them who they would vote for. They said to Congress. I asked them why would they vote for Congress when there is nothing left of them in Delhi.”

Congress isn’t same anymore, says Kejriwal
Kejriwal further added, “They said the Congress isn’t the same anymore now. They said the amount Congress supporters work to make sure Congress wins, and the party leaders work to make sure the party loses. They also said that it is clear that Congress aims to make sure AAP loses Delhi elections and the party is working along with BJP for this.”
Kejriwal claimed that Congress leaders have stopped criticizing BJP and instead focus only on attacking AAP. “Congress leaders say nothing against BJP leaders but only AAP leaders,” he said.
He urged Congress supporters to rethink their voting decision, warning them that voting for Congress would only help the BJP in the elections. “I told them if they voted for Congress, they would benefit the BJP,” he added.
Amit Shah slams Kejriwal
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday slammed Arvind Kejriwal and AAP in a rally held in support of the BJP candidate for Delhi Assembly elections in Rohini. Shah accused Kejriwal of panicking over the upcoming elections and making excuses for the issues faced in the capital.
Addressing the crowd, Shah criticized Kejriwal’s recent statement regarding pollution and the Yamuna River, where the Delhi CM claimed that the river’s water was poisoned. Shah said, “Kejriwal has panicked after seeing the defeat. We will give cylinders for free on Diwali and Holi.” He further questioned Kejriwal’s allegations, stating, “Kejriwal should tell what poison is there in water.”
Shah continued his attack by highlighting the governance issues under AAP, saying, “Removing AAP-Da means answering the corruption of Arvind Kejriwal for 10 years.” He urged the people of Delhi to vote for the BJP in the upcoming election, stressing the importance of forming a “double engine government” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
