New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday accused the Congress of joining the international conspiracy to harm the country’s democracy and its social fabric. He added that the people of Haryana have given them a befitting reply to such conspiracies today.
Addressing the party workers at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in the national capital, the PM said, “For some time now, several conspiracies have been hatched from outside the country against India. They aim to damage India’s democracy and social fabric. Parties like Congress are involved in this conspiracy.”
People of Haryana gave a befitting reply to Congress: PM Modi
“The people of Haryana have given the befitting reply to such conspiracies in this Assembly Election. Every Indian must take a pledge that they will not allow any such conspiracy to succeed in the country. India will not shift from the path of development,” PM Modi said further.
Hitting out at the Congress further, the PM accused the main Opposition party of trying to weaken the country by spreading anarchy and trying to instigate different sections of the society. “They tried to instigate the farmers recently. However, the farmers of Haryana have given them a befitting reply. The farmers showed the Congress they stood with the country as well as the BJP. They tried to turn farmers against us but failed. They even spread fake rumours to our jawans. People of Haryana have given them an apt reply.”
‘Congress spread poison in the name of casts’
He added, “People of the country have seen how the Congress has spread poison in the name of casts. Those born with golden spoons are trying to divide the people in the country. The party won’t allow anybody from the backward class or Adivasi community to become the prime minister of India. They have insulted Dalits in the past. The Congress wants to create an anarchy in the country. That’s why they are trying to instigate the people.”
