New Delhi: All the speculations, regarding when and where the Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2025 mega auction will be held, have been put to rest as the venue and dates for the event were announced on Tuesday. Jeddah in Saudi Arabia has been finalised as the city that will host the IPL mega auction on November 24 and 25.
The event will be held overseas for the second successive year, after being held in Dubai the last time for a day. This time, the mega event will be a two-day affair while will see as many as 1574 players go under the hammer, as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Out of the total lot of players, 1165 are Indians while the remaining 409 being overseas registrations. As many as 30 players are from associate nations while South Africa and Australia lead the list with 91 and 76 registrations respectively.
