Hyderabad: Cockroaches were found in the raw material storage area at Chutneys Restaurant during inspections at Sarath City Mall , Kondapur on October 16.
Taskforce team found that FSSAI licence was not displayed at a prominent place and atta and rava were infested with black beetles.
Sanitary liquids were found stored along with raw material and onions and cabbage were spoiled in undesirable condition for human consumption.
Wash area was found to be smelling bad and food handlers did not have FoSTAC training and Iron knives were being used for cutting.
Alpahar tiffins inspected:
The inspection held by food safety commission at Alpahar tiffins in Sarath City Mall found that license was not displayed at the restaurant in a prominent place. Dustbins were found to be open and prepared food was not covered with lids.
Semi prepared food was not labelled in the refrigerator and Iron metal knives were used for cutting. Food handlers did not have FoSTaC training.
The food safety commission’s state level taskforce teams have been inspecting restaurants in Secunderabad and other parts of the state including in Karimnagar. The inspections have been ongoing all over the state over the last few months to ensure food hygiene and high food safety standards.
