New Delhi: Three crew members have gone missing and one has been rescued after an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) made an emergency landing at the Arabian Sea off the Porbandar coast in Gujarat on Monday night.
The chopper with four crew members onboard was deployed to evacuate an injured crew member from the Motor Tanker Hari Leela vessel off the coast at around 11 pm when it was forced to make an emergency hard landing, causing it to ditch into the sea, the Coast Guard said in a statement.
“One crew member recovered, search for the remaining three crew members is in progress. ICG has deployed 04 ships and 02 aircraft for rescue efforts,” it said.

The aircraft wreckage has been located and search and rescue operations to locate the missing crew members of the chopper are underway. The ALH had recently rescued 67 people during the cyclonic weather in Gujarat, the ICG said.
