The central agency had recently filed the chargesheet in the case against six persons, including coaching centre CEO Abhishek Gupta and its coordinator Deshpal Singh, before a trial court.
There was enough evidence to prosecute accused persons: CBI
The CBI has urged the trial court to take cognisance of the chargesheet, submitting that there was enough evidence to prosecute the accused persons.
The defence counsel, however, opposed the submissions made by the CBI counsel, claiming that the chargesheet filed by the central agency was incomplete.
Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna on Monday deferred the order on whether to take cognisance of the chargesheet for a week.
The judge reserved the order on the issue of whether to take cognisance of the chargesheet after hearing the submissions made by the counsel representing the CBI urging the court to take cognisance of the chargesheet, news agency PTI reported.
