New Delhi: In a tragic incident reported from Gujarat, a Class 3 girl collapsed in her school and later died of cardiac arrest on Friday. The incident took place at Zebar School for children in Thaltej area of Ahmedabad.
The school has also shared CCTV footage of the girl which shows her being in distress. A probe has been ordered into the incident. The victim has been identified as Gargi. The girl became unconscious when she sat on a chair. The girl suddenly slid from the chair and fell on the ground.
School staff gives CPR
Later, the school staff notices and rushed to her. The girl was immediately rushed to Zydus Hospital for treatment, according to a report in Gujarat Samachar.
It is said that Gargi was normal when she came to the school in morning. According to school principal, Sharmishtha Sinha, the student was given CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) when she collapsed.
Doctors could not revive student
“An ambulance was immediately called but her condition was serious so the school staff took her to a hospital in their vehicle,” said the principal.
When the girl was taken to hospital, doctors said that the student had suffered a heart attack. The doctors tried to revive the girl and also put her on ventilator support. However, she could not be revived.
