Raipur: The results of the urban body elections in Chhattisgarh are being announced vote counting has already begun. The trends for 10 municipal corporations, 49 municipal councils, and 114 nagar panchayats are being declared.
For the first time, these urban body elections were conducted using EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines). Speaking of voters, the municipal elections had 22,00,525 male voters and 22,73,232 female voters. A total of 5,970 polling booths were set up for the elections, out of which 1,531 were classified as sensitive and 132 as highly sensitive.
The administration had made strict security arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the elections. All preparations for the counting of votes have been completed, and the state is awaiting the results with great anticipation.

- Chirmiri Mayor Election Result Live: In the vote counting so far for Chirmiri Municipal Corporation in Chhattisgarh, BJP has secured 10,199 votes, while Congress has received 7,459 votes. Former MLA Vinay is trailing by 2,740 votes.
- Lorami Nagar Palika Result Live: The results for Lorami Nagar Palika in Chhattisgarh, located in Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao’s constituency, have been declared. BJP candidate Sujit Verma secured victory in the president’s race with a margin of 2,458 votes. In ward-wise results, BJP won 11 wards, Congress claimed 6, and 1 ward was won by an independent candidate.

In Raipur Nagar Nigam elections, BJP candidates are leading in most wards after initial rounds of counting. In Ward No. 3, the BJP candidate is ahead after three rounds, while Congress leads in Havaldar Abdul Hamid Ward. BJP has gained a lead of 1,100 votes in Raman Mandir Ward and is ahead in Hemu Kalani Ward. In Indira Gandhi Ward, BJP candidates have taken the lead after two rounds. The party is also leading in Danveer Bhamashah Ward after the third round. Additionally, BJP is ahead in wards such as Veerangana Avantibai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Thakkar Bapa, Veer Shivaji, Kanhaiya Lal Bajari, Sant Kabir Das, and Yatiyatan Lal.
