Chennai: A gas leak at a private school in Thiruvottiyur, Chennai, led to the evacuation of students after some on the 3rd floor fainted. Thirty-three unconscious students were rushed to the hospital by ambulance, and worried parents quickly arrived to take their children home.
“A few students of a private school nearThiruvottiyur in the city were admitted to a government hospital after developing uneasiness reportedly due to chemical leakage at the school‘s laboratory,” a senior police official said.
Police probe is underway and more details awaited.
