New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a snake was spotted in the AC G17 coach of 12187 Jabalpur-Mumbai Garib Rath Express train. To everyone’s dismay, it suddenly appeared on the train. Passengers were kept guessing from where it entered the AC coach.
Panic and chaos prevailed in the coach after the passengers saw the slithering creature. All the passengers were shifted to another coach and G17 was locked. Meanwhile, there was no disruption in the train service and the journey continued.
A video of the snake in the AC coach has emerged. In the video, the snake can be seen coiled to a rod of a side upper berth, with luggage around it.
In July this year, panic gripped passengers on the third AC coach of the Mumbai-bound 15067 Gorakhpur-Bandra Express after a snake was seen in the coach’s upper duct as the train approached Gonda in Uttar Pradesh. A video of the incident was circulated on social media.
The railway officials were informed and a thorough checking was carried out when the train reached Lucknow’s Charbagh station. The coach was changed after the train reached Kanpur station.
Man ‘bitten’ by snake on train
In April this year, a snake allegedly bit a passenger on a Madurai-bound train. The incident occurred on the Madurai-Guruvayur Passenger Express. The passenger deboarded at Ettumanoor station and was taken to the Medical College Hospital. The snake allegedly bit the passenger while he was travelling in the sixth bogie of the train. His co-passengers said they had spotted the snake under the seat. The train was halted for 10 minutes at Ettumanoor station after the incident.
Snake on Rishikesh railway platform
A six-foot snake emerged onto the Rishikesh railway platform, and alarmed the passengers waiting for their trains on Saturday. A video shows passengers scurrying for cover as the snake makes its way. Some passengers were taken unawares as the snake appeared from nowhere. Those present on the scene alerted others about the presence of the snake. The forest department was informed by the Rishikesh railway authorities about the snake.
