New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the CBSE Class 10th, 12th practical exam 2025 dates. As per the schedule, the CBSE practical exams 2025 will commence from January 1, 2025 and the theory exams from February 15, 2025.
Students appearing for the board exams can check the detailed schedule on the official website of the board at cbse.gov.in. Earlier, the CBSE winter-bound schools practical exams dates were declared by the board which is scheduled to be conducted between November 5 to December 5, 2024.
The board’s official notice reads, “The Practical Examinations/ IA for class X and XIl and the Board’s Annual Theory Examinations are scheduled to start w.e.f. 01/01/2025 and 15/02/2025 respectively.”
CBSE board exam subject-wise marks distribution
Along with the declaration of the exam date, the board has also made the subject-wise marks distribution available for Class 10 and Class 12. In the notice, the board has stated that each of the subjects will carry a total of 100 marks, which will be divided across theory, practicals, projects, and internal assessments. A list of subjects for both Class 10, 12 which includes the below important information has been made available to schools-
- Subject name
- Subject code
- Class
- Maximum marks in theory exam
- Maximum marks in practical exam
- Maximum marks project assessment
- Maximum marks internal assessment
- Type of answer book to be used in theory exam
- Whether practical answer-book will be provided by the board
- Whether an external examiner will be appointed for practical or project assessment
Board makes 75 per cent attendance compulsory to appear for upcoming exams
Recently, CBSE has issued a notice stating that to appear for the Class 10, 12 board exams 2025 students are required to have a minimum of 75 per cent attendance. As per the board, a 25 per cent attendance relaxation is allowed for students only due to medical emergencies, participation of students in national or international sports events or any other important reason. For the attendance relaxation, it is necessary to provide supporting documents.
